The Cristal must have been o’erflowing the pimp cup over at Warner Brothers HQ last week as the news came through. According to a report by TorrentFreak, Project X — their anti-establishment, damn-the-man ode to anarchy in all its myriad forms — was the most pirated movie of 2012 by a considerable margin. And as I’m sure Warner Brothers CEO Barry Meyer will agree, the film couldn’t ask for a more fitting accolade. After all, Thomas, Costa and J.B. were hardly the type of kids to drop fifteen dollars on a fucking ‘Triple Play’ Blu-ray when The Pirate Bay is right there and over 6000 people are working hard to keep Nima Nourizadeh’s almost-classic seeding.
Here’s a full rundown of the films nobody wanted to pay for this year:

1 | Project X | 8,720,000 | $100,931,865 |
2 | Mission: Impossible 4 | 8,500,000 | $694,713,380 |
